Why does this role exist?
As the company scales its direct-to-consumer footprint and product lineup, it needs a finance manager to own day-to-day financial operations and build reliable, scalable systems. This role ensures accurate reporting, smooth cash flow, timely payroll and billing, and strong documentation—while translating numbers into actionable insights for leadership. The objective is to strengthen financial hygiene, increase operational efficiency, and support smart, sustainable growth.

The Impact you’ll make

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and manage sales and expense reports with clear, decision-ready insights
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Excel/Google Sheets to track trends and unit economics
  • Surface risks/opportunities and make recommendations to leadership
Bookkeeping & Documentation
  • Own day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure all entries are accurate and properly supported
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and audit-ready records
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure integrity of financial statements
Payroll, Billing & Invoicing
  • Oversee payroll review; ensure timely and accurate payments for all team members
  • Review and process agents’ invoices with proper approvals and coding
  • Manage billing flows end-to-end so receivables and payables run smoothly
Cash Flow, AR/AP & Inventory Reconciliation
  • Monitor cash position and cadence of inflows/outflows; flag variances early
  • Manage AR/AP cycles to reduce bottlenecks and improve working capital
  • Track inventory and reconcile with financial records to maintain accurate COGS and stock valuation
Process Improvement & Leadership Support
  • Streamline and document financial processes for scale and efficiency
  • Implement controls that improve accuracy, compliance, and speed
  • Partner with leadership to model scenarios and support strategic decisions

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in finance roles with hands-on ownership of core processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and analysis
  • Working knowledge of payroll and billing systems and end-to-end cycles
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize, and own processes in a fast-paced environment
  • WFH Set-Up:
    • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
    • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
    • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
    • Back-up computer and internet connection
    • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
Your Superpowers:
  • Technical: Financial analysis and reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, AR/AP, payroll review, inventory reconciliation, and cash-flow management
  • Tools: Expert with Excel/Google Sheets; familiar with common payroll and billing platforms
  • Communication: Clear, concise communicator who can simplify complex data for non-finance stakeholders
  • Ways of working: Detail-obsessed, organized, accountable, and proactive about process improvements
  • Bonus: E-commerce/DTC or startup/small-business experience; CPA or equivalent (plus, not required)

  • Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (Central Time)
Compensation:
  • $8 per hour
