Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle financial data with precision. This role involves supporting the finance department with daily financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for executing various finance-related tasks promptly and efficiently, contributing to the smooth operation of the department. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
  • Conduct reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts monthly.
  • Enter and verify data accurately in accounting systems and spreadsheets.
  • Support the processing of invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Handle queries related to financial information and provide requested data promptly.
  • Assist with the budget preparation process and monitor expenditures against budgets.
  • Prepare financial documents and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with auditors during audits and respond to inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial and sensitive information.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.
  • Perform any other financial duties as assigned by the finance manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working within a finance or accounting role preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
