Field IT Support Engineer (225-728)

As a Field IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, providing on-site technical support and services to our clients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing new equipment, and maintaining network security. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities and outstanding customer service skills, as they will be interacting with clients regularly. You'll need to have a thorough understanding of various IT systems and networks to successfully manage and improve the technology operations. Engaging in a heavily hands-on role, your work will directly impact our business by ensuring our clients' IT infrastructure is stable and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to customers and resolve hardware issues promptly.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and peripheral devices efficiently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot software issues for a variety of applications and systems.
• Assist clients with the installation and configuration of network equipment.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service and offer solutions to clients' IT concerns professionally.
• Update and manage documentation related to technical support tasks and solutions.
• Monitor system performance and conduct analysis to preempt potential issues.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to improve overall system reliability.
• Educate clients on best practices for using and securing their IT infrastructure.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in IT support technologies and solutions.
• Report regularly to the management about recurring technical problems and solutions offered.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role in the IT industry.
• Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
• Hands-on experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to clients clearly.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel to client sites as required.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional are advantageous.
