Job Description

As a Facility Manager, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a building or complex of facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all facilities run smoothly and efficiently, while also maintaining a safe and productive environment for employees, visitors, and clients. You will work closely with contractors, vendors, and staff to oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and upgrades of physical spaces. Additionally, you will manage budgets, set goals, and implement strategies to optimize building functionality and sustainability. Your overall objective is to enhance the value and integrity of the company's physical assets while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of facility systems and equipment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve facility efficiency and sustainability.
  • Coordinate and monitor facility refurbishment, renovations, and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage facility budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Work with vendors to procure additional cleaning and repair services when necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities meet compliance and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls and coordinate repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Implement security protocols to safeguard the facility and its occupants.
  • Train and supervise facility staff, ensuring proper conduct and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with other department heads to support organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a facility manager or in a similar role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management operations and standards is essential.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage staff and vendors.
  • Ability to develop and manage operational budgets effectively and efficiently.
