Job Description

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Supervisor is a crucial role within the hospitality industry, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of restaurant services, bars, and catering functions. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership qualities, and exceptional customer service skills to uphold the establishment's standards and enhance guest satisfaction. The F&B Supervisor acts as a link between the management and the food and beverage team, helping to implement programs and strategies to improve service quality. By efficiently managing resources, handling customer complaints, and training staff, the F&B Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining high standards and operational excellence within the food and beverage department.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department efficiently.
  • Manage and schedule food and beverage personnel to optimize service quality.
  • Train and mentor staff to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the department.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events and catering services.
  • Evaluate and implement improvement strategies for service quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze reports to track sales, costs, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area at all times within the workplace.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within food and beverage services.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Proven customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations within the food industry.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle conflicts.
  • Flexible with schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
