In this Expert Global Operations Humanitarian Logistics position

• Support administration of operational plans and processes to achieve the set objectives of customer, service, quality and financial for orders/ customers
• Administer assigned operational activities related to managing cross-trade shipments: coordinating with origins, destinations, carriers to ensure timely shipment delivery etc.
• Receive, execute and update orders in systems (CW1, FCM, Customer ERPs etc)
• Retrieve stored information, place orders or respond to customer enquiries
• Report issues, exceptions and events during execution of operational activities
• Proactively coordinate with the customer to receive all required documents for the shipment execution; keep customer informed on the status of the shipments
• Work closely with the pricing team upon handover to ensure rates validity, correct shipment specifications being quoted for before execution and maximize profit levels on each file
• Collaborate with origin & destination stations, carriers or other parties to resolve issues, ensure service quality and timelines to achieve internal and external (customer) KPIs
• Comply with set policies and statutory obligations and legislation related to safety, health, security environment & quality
• Resolve recurring issues and suggest modifications in operations processes and systems to increase effectiveness and efficiency
• May provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced positions

• Apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
• Work independently with general supervision
• Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex
• Familiarity with challenging geographical contexts relevant to humanitarian operations will be considered an advantage
• Work experience with Cargowise will be considered an advantage
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
