Estimation Engineering

As an Estimation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in determining the costs and resources required for projects in various industries, ranging from construction to manufacturing. This position involves using your expertise to evaluate project demands, analyze costs, and create comprehensive financial strategies to ensure projects are both feasible and profitable. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to accurately forecast budgets, manage risk factors, and ensure that projects adhere to financial guidelines. Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements, plans, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project teams to understand scope and specifications for accurate estimations.
• Conduct risk assessments to determine potential cost impacts and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with procurement to establish pricing structures and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Prepare and present estimates and budget proposals to management and clients.
• Continuously compare estimated costs to actual project expenses and report discrepancies.
• Update and maintain historical data and estimation tools for future reference.
• Evaluate and report on the feasibility of various project approaches and methodologies.
• Ensure accurate cost tracking and document management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in the development and improvement of estimation processes and methodologies.
• Maintain a working knowledge of industry trends and competitive pricing dynamics.
• Liaise with engineering teams to align estimates with technical project specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, or in a related field.
• Proficiency in estimation and project management software applications.
• Solid understanding of construction and engineering processes and terminology.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in estimations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Certification in estimation or project management would be an advantage.
