English Teacher

Job Description

Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is seeking a dynamic and qualified English Trainer to join our Intensive English Program on a part-time basis. The trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and student-centered English language instruction aimed at improving learners’ academic and communicative competence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive and intensive English language classes in accordance with the program’s curriculum.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to student needs and course objectives.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback on students’ progress through formative and summative assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grading, and performance.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with program coordinators and faculty to ensure instructional consistency and quality.
• Support learners in achieving measurable outcomes within a condensed 6.5-week timeframe.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
• TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification (Minimum 120 hours; in-person preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of English language teaching experience, ideally in a higher education or intensive program setting.
• Experience teaching diverse, multicultural student groups.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to commit for the full 6.5-week program duration.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field.
• Prior experience in teaching within university preparation or foundation programs.
• Familiarity with communicative and task-based teaching methodologies.
