The Department of Civil Engineering (CVE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a regular or visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencing in Fall Semester 2026. The successful candidate for the regular position will be expected to establish a high level, active research program supported by internal and external funding sources. The visiting faculty position are primarily focused on teaching. The visiting position is a one-year renewable contract and the regular position is a three-year renewable contract.
The applicant is required to have a PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related field and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research, in addition to experience in the American model of higher education, are highly desirable. Applicants for the regular position should be in the specialty of construction engineering and management and/or digital construction. Applicants for the visiting position can be in any specialty within civil engineering.
