Elevator Technician (225-826)

As an Elevator Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators and escalators. Our company is searching for a dedicated professional who shows attention to detail and has a keen ability to work on mechanical and electrical systems. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all elevator systems function smoothly and safely for users. You will solve complex issues, perform meticulous inspections, and adhere to all safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Perform installation and assembly of new elevators and escalator systems in various settings.
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure system operation and safety compliance.
• Diagnose malfunctions in the mechanical and electrical components of elevator systems.
• Execute timely repairs to prevent extended system downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and monitor system parameters for anomalies.
• Collaborate with building management to schedule and conduct preventive maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support and consultation to clients regarding optimal system performance.
• Inspect wiring and other components to detect potential safety hazards or non-compliance issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when working on high-rise or complex systems.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on installation, repair, and maintenance processes.
• Keep updated with the latest industry practices, tools, and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of parts and materials necessary for repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as an elevator technician or in a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Valid elevator mechanic’s license according to state regulations.
• Physical fitness is necessary due to the labor-intensive nature of the work.
• Proficiency with standard tools, and diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends if required.
