Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities and play-based curriculum.
- Support children's personal needs, including feeding, diapering, and toileting.
- Monitor children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Observe and document childrens behavior and development under the direction of the Lead Educator.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines and general progress.
- Support the emotional well-being of children by offering comfort, encouragement, and guidance.
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety protocols.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an Early Childhood Assistant certificate or equivalent training preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
