Dog Groomer

The Dog Groomer is responsible for providing high-quality grooming services for dogs of all breeds and sizes, ensuring their hygiene, comfort, and appearance are maintained. This role involves bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, and ensuring pets are handled with care and compassion. The ideal candidate should have experience with grooming techniques, be comfortable working with animals, and possess strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Bathe, dry, brush, and trim dogs according to breed standards or client preferences.

• Clip nails, clean ears, and check for skin conditions or parasites.

• Handle animals safely and compassionately to minimize stress and ensure comfort.

• Maintain grooming tools and sanitize equipment between appointments.

• Provide grooming advice and aftercare tips to pet owners.

• Keep grooming area clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.

• Communicate with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs or health concerns.

• Manage appointments and maintain accurate grooming records.

• Identify and report any signs of illness or injury in pets.

• Assist with front-desk duties, including client check-in and payment processing.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a dog groomer or completion of a grooming certification program.

• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques and safety practices.

• Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments.

• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and handle animals.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
