J Ob Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Human Resources, the Director, Global Human Resources will support the Global team and act as a key point of contact for the HR teams on Resorts. Key areas of responsibility in Human Resources will be working on our new opening resorts including travel, planning, budgeting, knowledge of local laws, Colleague facilities and HR resort Support. Act as an advisor to all Colleagues on any matters regarding their employment and wellbeing. Due to the nature of this role, there will be extensive travel required to resorts which at times will be unplanned therefore the ability to travel to all destinations with no restrictions is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-opening planning including housing requirements, budgeting payroll and HR expenses as well as reconnaissance visits to the location
  • Applying standards across all resorts on all college facilities including colleague residence and colleague dining
  • Knowledge and application of local laws where our resorts operate
  • Conduct HR Audits at properties once a year together with the VP, Global HR
  • Engage and manage the teams of RSOs globally
  • Drive and support Global Initiatives i.e Balance, Resort Awards etc..
  • Assist in Ethics Points investigations as and when required and support with the portal administration
  • Deliver the Global Human Resources Strategy to the Global Office as well as ensuring the translation to the Resorts
  • Ensure that the onboarding and Offboarding process in the Global Office and Regional Sales Office run efficiently and effectively
  • Manager Onboarding Process for Senior Leaders, GM's and HRD's across the Office, RSO’s and Resorts
  • Facilitate Exit Interviews for Director and VP Levels
  • Onboarding presentations where applicable i,e to new Resort HRD’s
  • Manage the Disciplinary & Grievance Process
  • Take part in any relevant Projects, both in the Office as well as the Resorts
  • Analyse the monthly HR reports and share with the Vice President, Global Human Resources
  • Analyse Exit Interview data
  • Assist with all HR tasks until HRD is hired at Resorts. i.e (Manning, Critical Path, Colleague Accommodation - sourcing/design, back of house design etc.)
  • Work with Talent management with regards to succession planning and Internal candidates
  • Work with Talent management with Resort Leadership sourcing
  • Support Talent management with the sourcing and interviews of all resort HRDs
  • Together with the VP, HR review Talent Process for Resort HRDs
  • Together with the VP, HR review Year end Performance reviews Resort HRDs
  • Support with Global HR and Resorts budget process
  • Quarterly Resort Disciplinary tracking for Audit and Compliance Meetings
  • Ensure that the monthly room rate report is shared with properties
  • Leads functional HR projects and serves as the process owner for SuccessFactors modules, including Onboarding, Offboarding, and Employee Central.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Strong knowledge in advanced Excel due to the job requirements in budgeting and forecasting
  • Aligned and knowledgeable of luxury travel
  • Passionate, personable, friendly, dedicated
  • Proficiency in all MS Office Programs, Internet
  • Advanced admin skills and potentially a second language written and spoken
  • HR qualification / degree
  • International experience
  • 2-3 years in property based Human Resources at Luxury level
  • Organizational skills, advanced communication and writing skills
