Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE regulations.
• Provide counseling and education to patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive records of medications dispensed and patient interactions.
• Conduct inventory management and ensure the safe storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Verify prescriptions, ensuring they are valid, accurate, and complete.
• Participate in continuous education to stay updated on industry changes and pharmaceutical advancements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting.
• Offer advice on health and lifestyle changes to improve patient wellbeing.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure efficient workflow and customer service.
• Conduct medication therapy management services to improve patient outcomes.
• Support in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.

Requirements

• A valid DHA license to practice as a pharmacist in Dubai.
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively counsel and educate patients.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles, formulation, and dispensing processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare team members and management.
