Deputy Finance Director

The Deputy Finance Director is a senior leadership role responsible for supporting the Finance Director in managing all financial operations, strategic planning, compliance, and reporting across the organization. Based in the UAE, this position plays a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, optimizing operational efficiency, and guiding financial decision-making in alignment with UAE tax laws and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership abilities to oversee budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and team development in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Finance Director in developing and implementing financial strategies and policies.

• Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes across departments.

• Monitor financial performance and analyze variances, providing strategic recommendations.

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, financial laws, and corporate governance standards.

• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders.

• Support investment planning, cash flow management, and capital expenditure projects.

• Oversee and enhance internal financial controls, risk management, and audit processes.

• Supervise and mentor finance team members, promoting professional development and efficiency.

• Participate in board meetings, presenting financial updates and strategic insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.

• Professional accounting certification is mandatory.

• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 in a senior leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT laws, and local compliance frameworks.

• Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
