The role of a Data Center Technician is integral to the smooth operation and maintenance of data center facilities. These technicians handle the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a data center's technical infrastructure which includes servers, network systems, hardware, and software. They are essential in ensuring that data centers operate at peak performance, maintaining consistent uptime, security, and reliability. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and ensure optimal performance of data center servers and equipment.
• Provide first-line troubleshooting and support for network equipment failures or malfunctions.
• Monitor data center environments, ensuring climate and energy efficiency standards meet regulations.
• Respond promptly to alerts and outages, providing emergency service support during incidents.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory and detailed documentation for all data center resources and assets.

• Collaborate with technical teams to optimize network infrastructure for improved performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years' experience working in a data center or similar environment.
• Proficient understanding of network protocols and data center operations and management.
• Experience with server hardware, including diagnostics and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of data center power, cooling, and environmental management practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and vendors.
