Job Purpose
Support to develop and administer IT user support plans and processes to provide technical support for hardware and software related systems and implement Internal and Customer/User integration solutions in line with business strategy and objectives, and Group guidelines and policies
Key Tasks
- Support administration of IT user support plans and processes to effectively resolve user hardware and software problems
- Undertake activities to install, support and maintain Customer Access hardware and software with problem solving when required by external customers
- Resolve customers issues on all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based systems software
- Log, assign, respond to and resolve incidents/ service requests in a timely manner and according to agreed standards and procedures
- Ensure log entries of user contact provide a corpus knowledge for the resolution of subsequent faults and problems
- Execute active directory domain for user account and system management
- Support implementation of Internal and Customer/User integration solutions
- Perform intermediate administration tasks on HP UX systems
- Deliver regular ticket quality review related to assigned customer area of responsibilities
- Escalate tickets and improve awareness, communication and procedures across departments
- Deliver scheduled Local Area Network (LAN) software upgrades ensuring integrity of LAN software and hardware
- Facilitate training for new & current staff to keep IT support team up-to-date and informed
- Identify and resolve recurring issues, and suggest modifications for IT user support work methods focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
- May provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced positions

- May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices
- Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own function
- Build relationships and understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns
