Purpose of the Job

The Corporate Freight Pricing Executive - Air Freight is responsible for developing and managing competitive pricing strategies for air freight services. This role involves analyzing market trends, negotiating rates with carriers, and ensuring that pricing aligns with the companys financial goals. The executive collaborates with sales and operations teams to support business growth and customer satisfaction through effective pricing solutions.

Job Description
  • Develop and implement air freight pricing strategies.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing.
  • Negotiate rates with airlines and carriers.
  • Ensure competitive pricing to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support business growth.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing based on market conditions.
  • Prepare and present pricing proposals to management.
  • Maintain relationships with key carriers and partners.
  • Conduct cost analysis to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Provide pricing support for customer inquiries and bids.
  • Develop pricing models and tools for accurate rate calculations.
  • Track and report on pricing performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure service quality.
  • Manage pricing databases and documentation.
  • Train and mentor junior pricing analysts.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
  • Support the development of marketing materials with pricing information.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous.
  • 3+ years of experience in in air freight pricing or a similar role.
  • Continuous professional development in pricing strategies and market analysis.
  • Strong understanding of air freight operations and logistics.
  • Experience in negotiating rates with carriers and airlines.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and cost modeling.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to develop and implement pricing strategies.
  • Experience with pricing software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales and operations teams.
