Corporate Excellence Specialist

Job Description

• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the dans corporate excellence model in line with DGEP and other local and global excellence models. Develop corporate excellence strategic and operational practices within dans in alignment with Dubai Government Excellence Framework and applicable global practices through identification and development of appropriate corporate excellence strategy, governance practices and operational mechanism to support and monitor implementation.
• Promote awareness of excellence culture in line with DGEP and other excellence models, and the concepts of continual improvement across dans. Advise on measurable objectives to ensure results are achieved.
• Contribute to the participation of dans’ employees, projects, teams and organization in the DGEP awards, from the point of nomination through the preparation of needed documents, training and coaching of each nominee.
• Participate in planning and management of the Excellence self-assessments including completion of forms. Nominate and train selected internal assessors. Prepare reports and information summaries for the dans Executive to provide regular updates on progress and highlighting performance improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
• Prepare progress and feedback reports to the related dans governance bodies about the performance of the DGEP Nominations and Assessments so that the same can be reviewed for possible improvement of the system.
• Participate actively and provide recommendations and assistance to assist cross-functional improvement, participate in some functional improvement teams as and when required.
• Undertakes similar or related duties as directed by senior management.
  
  

• Holds either Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or management with practical experience in this field for not less than (7) years, Master’s degree in Quality Management, Business Administration or Business Excellence with practical experience in this field for not less than (5) years or PHD in Management or Business Administration with practical experience in this field for not less than (3) years.
• Excellent knowledge and intensive experience in the international and UAE excellence programs.
• Excellent knowledge and practical experience in conducting assessment processes based on the excellence models and the capability to lead and execute internal assessment processes for different categories and awards.
• Profound knowledge of the business excellence criteria requirements and the ability to suggest additions or improvements to systems and methodologies in dans.
• Knowledge and experience in quality management systems and business excellence model.
• Certified excellence assessor.
• Air Navigation Service Delivery experience and knowledge is beneficial.

• Capable to lead major improvements projects in dans.
• Capable to manage and administer the nomination and submission processes for dans in different categories in DGEP.
• Reporting and technical writing skills.

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases.
• Negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Project Management skills are beneficial.
