Job Description

The Consultant Ophthalmologist plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive eye care services to patients in a hospital setting. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the ophthalmology team, working collaboratively to diagnose and manage a variety of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. They will be responsible for performing surgeries, conducting patient consultations, and providing expert guidance to junior medical staff. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Medical degree and specialization in ophthalmology from a recognized institution.
  • Board certification in ophthalmology or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Proven experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in a hospital setting.
  • Exceptional surgical skills in various ophthalmic procedures and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients effectively.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and learning in ophthalmology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
