Job Description

As a Compliance Officer, you will be pivotal in ensuring that our organization adheres to external regulations and internal policies. Your role is to safeguard our company’s integrity by implementing policies that reduce risks, educating employees on compliance standards, and monitoring compliance with various laws and regulations. You will be responsible for auditing processes and procedures to ensure that all departments comply with the necessary standards. As a regulatory expert, you will stay abreast of industry changes and ensure all practices are updated accordingly. You will work closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations for improvement, aiming to mitigate risk and promote business continuity.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of control systems and improve them continuously.
  • Revise compliance procedures to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
  • Draft, modify, and implement company policies to enable compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct annual audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Review company procedures to ensure legal compliance across all departments.
  • Advise management and employees on regulatory issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage compliance programs to ensure all operations remain within established guidelines.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise compliance reports to the Board.
  • Provide employee training on compliance-related topics, policies, or procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in compliance, legal, or management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-leading compliance standards and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess complex situations.
  • Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
