🎯 The Role

This position is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end assessment, design and execution of complex migrations from on‑premise or hybrid environments to du’s VMware‑based sovereign cloud, ensuring secure, scalable and efficient cloud adoption that delivers measurable value to government and enterprise clients.

💼 How You’ll Make an Impact

• Platform expertise – Articulate capabilities of the sovereign‑cloud platform built on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and Broadcom’s post‑acquisition service model.
• Client discovery & assessment – Analyse existing infrastructure, workloads and business requirements; develop migration strategies covering VCF components, licensing and future operating models.
• Tool deployment – Configure and use VMware HCX, VCA, vSphere Replication and related tools to execute migrations.
• Migration delivery – Lead discovery, planning, migration, validation and cut‑over for physical, virtual and non‑x86 workloads; manage runbooks and post‑migration hand‑over.
• Architecture & security advisory – Recommend cloud‑native services, storage tiers, NSX‑T segmentation and security controls compliant with UAE mandates.
• Stakeholder management – Align technical plans with project timelines, SLAs and executive objectives, present status, risks and mitigations to client leadership.
• Documentation & governance – Maintain HLD/LLD artefacts, migration runbooks and operational plans per Broadcom governance.
• Licensing & commercial impact – Track Broadcom licensing changes and advise clients on cost implications

🧠 What You’ll Bring

• Bachelors in IT, Engineering or related field.
• Preferred certifications: VMware VCP DCV/CMA, VMware Cloud Foundation Specialist, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect or Cloud Practitioner.
• 5+ years delivering complex cloud migrations (rehost, replatform, refactor) with proven VMware SDDC deployments.
• Deep VMware stack expertise (VCF, vSphere 8, vSAN, NSX‑T, Aria Suite, HCX, SDDC Manager).
• Networking, security micro‑segmentation, multi‑tenant isolation.
• Proficiency with native and 3‑party migration tools (Azure Migrate, AWS SMS, Google Migrate for Compute Engine).
• Knowledge of UAE cloud‑governance / sovereignty frameworks (e.g., G‑Cloud, FedNet).
• Excellent client‑facing communication and executive‑level presentation skills
