Civil Engineer (225-615)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and have the ability to apply them in designing, constructing, and maintaining both public and private infrastructure projects. The Civil Engineer will work on a broad range of projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and urban design projects. They will collaborate with architects, contractors, and civil engineering technicians to ensure that projects are completed successfully, meeting quality standards and project deadlines. A successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating sustainable and efficient structures that enhance the community.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee construction projects such as roads, bridges, and buildings.
• Develop and implement project plans and timelines from start to completion.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather essential data for construction.
• Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and contractors on project designs.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure projects comply with legal, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Utilize design and drawing software to produce accurate engineering designs.
• Monitor and report project progress, addressing any issues as they arise.
• Supervise and inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to engineering plans.
• Attend project meetings and communicate with stakeholders as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
• Review and approve project drawings and proposed changes in construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or the ability to obtain it is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering projects.
• Proficient in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of structural design and geotechnical principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in engineering tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a team.
