CCTV Technician (225-703)

As a CCTV Technician, you will be at the forefront of security technology, responsible for ensuring the installation and maintenance of CCTV systems that keep businesses, public spaces, and residential areas safe. You will blend technical skills with an understanding of security protocols to create environments that are secure and well-monitored. This role demands high attention to detail as you work with complex wiring diagrams and system configurations. You will collaborate with clients to address their security needs, offering solutions that are both effective and efficient. Your expertise will also extend to troubleshooting and repairing systems to maintain optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure CCTV systems including cameras, monitors, and software.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure system functionality.
• Collaborate with clients to design customized security solutions.
• Analyze and interpret wiring diagrams and technical specifications for installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in CCTV systems promptly.
• Provide training to clients on system usage and maintenance practices.
• Keep detailed records of all installations and maintenance activities.
• Stay updated on the latest security technology and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with all local and federal security regulations.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of future security enhancements.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of CCTV equipment and network systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and manuals.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to client locations.
