The Cargo Handling Services and Performance Manager will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality cargo handling, as well as on-time aircraft performance, by setting service standards, optimising processes, and enhancing operational structures. Use customer needs, product design, and benchmarking to set and review SLAs and KPIs. Drive continuous improvement and keep leadership informed of training needs across the network. Oversee the cargo supplier contracting process in collaboration with relevant internal departments by defining technical output requirements based on assessments of infrastructure, processes, and documentation, ensuring optimal cost and value. Additionally, support the global Cargo Operations strategy by contributing to the design and execution of key projects.

In This Role, You Will

  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Risk Mitigation by engaging with different stakeholders and leading operational support activities that maintain SkyCargo's industry leadership, by ensuring their compliance with regulations while mitigating operational and legal risks.
  • Manage outsourcing and vendor partnerships by leading the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of handling agents for cargo operations, ensuring alignment with global operations, commercial, and procurement strategies, in collaboration with the Procurement and Logistics department (P&L).
  • Drive project and process optimization by leading Operational Readiness, Activation, and Transition vendor management, technology implementations, process improvements, and digitalisation initiatives, working closely with P&L, to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Strengthen performance monitoring and strategic action by utilising benchmarking, customer feedback, and stakeholder insights to drive continuous improvement while addressing supplier performance issues and enforcing corrective solutions.
  • Enhance stakeholder collaboration and cost control by acting as the key link between internal and external stakeholders, optimizing GHA (Ground Handling Agent) partnerships, refining cost strategies, and implementing best practices for operational excellence.
  • Establish quality standards and performance recognition by defining evaluation parameters, implementing industry benchmarking, and developing recognition mechanisms to ensure GHAs consistently meet and exceed service expectations.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Honours with 8+ years of experience in Logistics/ Cargo. Air Cargo
  • Experience in logistics, cargo/air cargo field, of which 3-4 years experience is required in implementing procedures and preparing manuals/guides to support operational activities.
  • A sound knowledge and appreciation of air cargo operational procedures
  • Practical ability to interpret standards and apply the knowledge to suit the specific business processes globally
  • Completion of cargo operational and DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations) courses at an advanced level
  • Knowledge of managing and contracting ground handling agents or working with ground handling agents is desirable
