Salary:         AED 17,500 per month with an excellent performance-driven bonus


Purpose of the Job


Talents UAE has been operating as a licensed company in the UAE since 2016. Talents UAE’s services are focused on the experience economy, leading, managing and delivering operational and strategic planning, training and exhibition design services to the cultural and corporate sectors. Our clients include Art Galleries, Museums, World Expos, Heritage Sites and Visitor Attractions.

Building on our success, we are excited to be expanding our team. We are looking for an experienced and resilient business development executive to contribute to the success of our company. You will help organise, develop business and increase revenue for Talents UAE projects in the UAE, achieving and exceeding targets set by the Country Manager. Building on your knowledge of how business is conducted in the UAE and the cultural and corporate sectors, along with your colleagues, you will be expected to suggest and coordinate the implementation of strategies for growth and safeguard Talents UAE’s reputation for delivering quality services.

Exceptional organisation and communication skills are critical. You will have proven knowledge of the business development process, ideally with expertise in the UAE or cultural marketplace, and a background in contributing to the successful development of teams. You will be comfortable with a degree of responsibility and accountability. A self-starter, you will be results-driven, but respect the need to act with sensitivity.


Key Deliverables / Accountabilities


The main objectives of the role are:


  • Grow business through the development of new leads and new contacts to deliver at least AED 12.5 million of new business revenue for Talents UAE per year.
  • Familiarise yourself with all products and services offered by the company across all projects.
  • Capable and confident to identify new revenue opportunities and new clients through direct contact, word of mouth, and in collaboration with other company departments such as Marketing and Sales.
  • Identifying, researching and following up new business opportunities. This includes networking, placing Talents UAE on frameworks, and leading on the delivery of tenders, proposals and contracts to draw in more revenue from clients, often to very tight deadlines.
  • Review client feedback and implement necessary changes.
  • Production and continual updating of Talents UAE promotional material (online & physical) to ensure Case Studies are up to date and the company is presented in the best possible way to maximise new business potential.
  • Assist the company’s Business Development Manager as required to help deliver on active projects, preparing portfolios and attending start-up meetings as required.
  • Arranging business meetings for the Talents UAE BD team with prospective new clients.
  • Research and profile Talents UAE’s competitors, finding and maintaining our competitive edge and actively suggesting relevant upgrades or added products to the Country Manager.
  • Contribute to the production of business performance reports.
  • Be client-facing when required – the ability to communicate effectively is therefore essential.
  • Maintain, develop and continuously keep up to date the company’s new business Customer Relationship Management processes, procedures & software.
  •  Any other task may be required by the company in order to perform its services.

  • You work well under pressure, demonstrating quick thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Must have an understanding of budgeting and financial planning is important, as well as producing financial reports.
  • An understanding of how a business operates – successful candidates will have a proven track record demonstrating their understanding and business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including both written and verbal presentation skills and negotiation skills.
  • Adaptability – being able to reprioritise quickly and focus all resources on achieving short-notice deadlines for tender responses.
  • Knowledge and experience of the sector Talents UAE works within (museums, cultural organisations, events, including Expos and audience experiences).
  • Excellent time management, able to balance multiple needs and interests.
  • Experienced in Presentation Skills. Both verbal and written.
  • A strong sense of responsibility, wanting to be involved.
  • Highly Proficient in MS Excel and MS PPT
  • Fluency in English – preferably also fluent in Arabic.
  • Excellent networking skills and the ability to build rapport to create and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
