Biomedical Engineer

The Biomedical Engineer designs, develops, and maintains medical equipment and devices that improve patient care and healthcare delivery. This role involves applying engineering principles to solve biological and medical challenges, ensuring devices meet safety and quality standards. Working in hospitals, research facilities, or manufacturing firms, the engineer collaborates with healthcare professionals to customize and optimize technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop biomedical equipment and devices.

• Conduct testing, calibration, and validation of medical technologies.

• Install and maintain diagnostic and therapeutic equipment in clinical settings.

• Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on device usage.

• Ensure equipment meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with research teams on product development and innovation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with biomedical systems.

• Document all engineering processes and prepare reports for regulatory review.

• Evaluate new technologies and suggest improvements to existing systems.

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and regulatory bodies as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in a biomedical engineering or healthcare technology role.

• Proficiency in using diagnostic, monitoring, and life-support equipment.

• Strong understanding of medical standards and compliance regulations.

• Excellent problem-solving and technical analysis skills.

• Proficiency in CAD and simulation software is preferred.

• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Attention to detail and high safety awareness.

• Effective communication and documentation skills.
