Job Overview:

The Associate HSES Tech is an entry-level position, and their work is completed with close supervision and support. They work within clearly defined HSES standard operating procedures and guidelines. The Associate HSES Tech should have basic skills in an analytical or operational process and appropriate licenses/training certifications.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Conversant with local and international HSES laws, codes, regulations
  • Seek guidance from HSE Advisor/Supervisor as appropriate for tasks and decisions
  • Administer a proactive prevention program for incidents
  • Ensure HSES Management Systems are implemented
  • Provide guidance and coaching to personnel to perform work safely
  • Assist in delivery and observation of toolbox talks and JSA’s
  • Observe condition of plant and equipment and report deficiencies
  • Conduct HSES inspections as directed
  • Regularly inspect the work areas to identify unsafe acts or conditions
  • Assist with medical evacuations and respond to emergencies as required
  • Implement HSES Activity plan and ensure activities are completed as scheduled
  • Assist with incident investigations

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Diploma or equivalent certification
  • 1 – 2 years of relative experience
  • Have experience with technical activities, including on and offshore operations Good oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain key competencies associated with the HSES function
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive team relationships
