Assistant Security Manager - UAE National

The purpose of this position is to assist Security Manager and lead all Security Supervisors, and their teams, to provide quality security within Depots, MPS, ITPS & Network Patrolling.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

• Lead a team of Security Supervisors and Security Officers to deliver a safe, reliable, world class and customer focused security services at depots, MPS, ITPS & Network Patrolling.
• Provide effective communications and information with internal and external in an efficient and timely manner.
• Support the Security Manager to implement security policy and plan security systems for Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram.
• Participate in incident/accident management and crisis management.
• Represent Security Department at Police station, Public prosecutor and Dubai Courts following up Crime cases and liaise with company Solicitors.
• Visit security outsourced companys accommodation monthly to inspect staff accommodation.
• Develop, implement and enforce safe methods of work for security operations and related activities.
• Monitor service delivery and manage the Security Supervisors/Security Officers to satisfy the committed performance targets.
• Conducts Performance Review, handling disciplinary, grievances on the Security Supervisors within the assigned area of responsibilities.
• Assist to develop and maintain of security procedures and work instructions.
• Conduct monthly Security Management Inspection for Metro and Tram in accordance with contractual KPI requirements.

• Communicating and reporting details of incidents, accidents and irregularities in daily basis.
• Serve as Security On-Call.
• Participating in reviewing the daily OCC logs.
• Attending special events/ walkthrough/ table tops/ live exercises and meetings.
• Assisting Passenger service to provide security during special events.
• Carry out planned and random inspections of depots, MPS, ITPS and Network Patrolling Teams.
• Perform and carry out other duties as directed/instructed by Security Manager or Head of Security and Stakeholder Relations.
• Manage and supervise the day to day security operations of depots, MPSs, ITPs and Network Patrolling.
• Communicate and report details of incidents, accidents and irregularities.
• Dealing with security contractor and Dubai Police for day to day issues.
• Liaising with Dubai Police and sharing information related to crime and any unusual event.
• Perform other duties as required by the Head of Security and Stakeholder Relations or/and Chief Operation Officer.

• Degree holder or higher diploma of post-secondary education and/or relevant professional qualifications.
  
  

• 2 Years in Dubai Metro.
• 7 years of experience in military/police service/security of which 2 years’ in management capacity employed in a law enforcement agency, a security services provider or a transport/service company.
• Thorough understanding of security operations systems, processes and associated activities such as regulations and civil liability, patrol, access and exit control, fire prevention, emergency response, operation and maintenance of security facilities and equipment.
• General technical experience.
