Air Import And Export Operations Specialist Dubai FTZ UAE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Air Import & Export Operations Specialist to join our Dubai Free Zone office. In this role, you will manage and coordinate end-to-end air freight operations for import and export shipments, ensuring full compliance with UAE Customs, Free Zone, and international air cargo regulations. You will play a key role in the movement of high-value and luxury cargo within our global logistics network.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle air import and export operations including booking, documentation, and shipment coordination
• Prepare and review airway bills, manifests, and shipping instructions in compliance with IATA and UAE Customs requirements
• Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, freight agents, and internal departments to ensure timely and secure cargo movements
• Coordinate with warehouse and security teams for vault-to-airport and airport-to-vault transfers of valuable cargo
• Ensure adherence to local Free Zone regulations, Dubai Customs procedures, and company compliance standards
• Monitor shipment milestones, proactively resolve exceptions or delays, and communicate updates to clients and global offices
• Support process improvement initiatives to optimize cost, transit time, and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in air freight import/export operations, preferably within Dubai or other GCC markets
• Knowledge of Dubai Customs e Dubai FTZ regulations
• Experience handling ATA Carnet, Temporary Admission, and CITES documentation and procedures
• Excellent communication and coordination skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Proficient in using cargo management systems and MS Office Suite
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple shipments simultaneously

Nice to have:

• Experience handling valuable, luxury, or sensitive cargo under secure conditions
• Familiarity with bonded warehouse operations and Free Zone inventory controls
• Certifications in Dangerous Goods (IATA DGR)
