About the Client
A Florida‑based roofing contractor that provides 24/7 residential and commercial roofing services across multiple cities in the state. They focus on rapid response, quality workmanship, and clear communication with homeowners and insurance carriers. They operate several local offices and are expanding their estimating/claims support team to improve turnaround and reliability.

Why does this role exist?
This role exists to provide immediate, full‑time insurance/roofing estimating support — producing accurate Xactimate estimates, interpreting scopes of loss, and managing communications with insurance desk adjusters so projects can move from inspection to funded repair/replacement quickly and cleanly.

The Impact you’ll make

Insurance estimating & Xactimate
  • Prepare and review Xactimate estimates for roof repairs and replacements.
  • Verify line items, quantities, and pricing against scopes of loss.
  • Update estimates after adjuster meetings and re‑submissions as needed.
Scope of Loss management
  • Read, analyze and extract action items from scopes of loss (SOL).
  • Track and follow up on SOL releases; ensure SOLs are attached to the correct claims.
  • Escalate and document discrepancies between SOL and on-site findings.
Adjuster coordination & communication
  • Schedule and participate in desk/phone/video adjuster meetings.
  • Liaise with adjusters to clarify scope, coverage, and payment details.
  • Document meeting outcomes and next steps; ensure timely follow‑up.
Administrative & reporting
  • Maintain accurate claim notes, estimate revisions, and status updates in the CRM/claim tracking system.
  • Provide daily/weekly updates to customer success managers on outstanding adjuster actions and SOL releases.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting to improve turnaround and client satisfaction.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:
  • Experience with roofing/insurance estimating
  • Xactimate proficiency (estimate building, line items, sketching).
  • Familiarity with insurance claim processes and SOL documents.
  • Comfortable using phone/video conferencing, CRM / claim tracking systems, and basic office tools (Excel, Outlook/Google Mail). Soft skills
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication.
  • Fast, organized, detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through.
  • Responsive, proactive, and able to manage multiple claims concurrently.
  • Calm under pressure and effective at de‑escalation and negotiation.
  • Excellent English communication and ability to work 8:00 am–4:00 pm Eastern Time (40 hours/week).
  • WFH Set-Up:
    • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
    • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
    • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
    • Back-up computer and internet connection
    • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
