Accountant


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain general ledger, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and assist with tax filings and audits
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions
  • Implement and improve financial controls and accounting procedures
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making through financial data and analysis
  • Stay up to date on changes in accounting standards, financial regulations, and best practices


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional qualifications such as CA/Inter, MBA (Finance), ACCA, or CMA (mandatory)
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in handling audits and working with external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of local and international tax regulations
  • ERP implementation or experience with digital finance tools is a plus
