An Accountant is an essential professional responsible for managing and analyzing financial records for businesses, government agencies, or individual clients. Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring information is accurate and complies with laws.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems using technology.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations and monitoring.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital to summarize the financial position.
• Compute taxes owed and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment reporting standards.
• Conduct audits to ensure all financial figures and documentation are correct and compliant.
• Assist in budget preparation and managing financial forecasts and projections.
• Advise management on issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and fiscal assumptions.
• Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities.
• Maintain and update financial standards and regulations, staying current with changes and new regulations.
• Work with colleagues to prepare financial reports that enhance strategic planning and operational decisions.
• Consult with clients on financial decisions and strategies for managing budgets and investments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation is strongly preferred or required.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting activities.
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and projections.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction.
