Job Title: Senior Sales & Business Development Manager
Department: Sales & Business Development
Location: Oren Specialities FZCO – Dubai, UAE
Reporting To: Director Sales & Business Development 


Purpose of the Role

The Senior Sales & Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving regional growth by identifying, developing, and securing business opportunities within the drilling fluid chemicals segment. This role demands a high-performing sales leader with a deep technical understanding of drilling fluids, strong industry relationships, and proven success in achieving sales targets within the oilfield chemicals sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow market share in the Middle East for Oren's drilling fluid chemicals portfolio.
  • Build and manage relationships with key clients including NOCs, IOCs, drilling contractors, and service companies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, tenders, and long-term supply contracts.
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value sales deals, ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with the technical, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless customer delivery and satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, competition, and customer feedback to refine go-to-market strategy.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipelines, and performance reports for senior management.
  • Represent Oren at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to enhance brand visibility and partnerships.

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of drilling fluid chemicals and their application in oil and gas operations.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Proven ability to identify leads, develop client relationships, negotiate and close high-value deals.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to engage in technical discussions with drilling engineers and procurement stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute regional sales and business development strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Leadership: Strong decision-making, team collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and tools for reporting and pipeline tracking.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and business development in the drilling fluid chemicals industry.
  • Established network within the oil & gas industry across the Middle East (UAE, KSA, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq, etc.).
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and managing multimillion-dollar portfolios.
