Job Summary-
As a Kitchen Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment in a food service establishment.
Job Responsibility-
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment to identify any issues or potential problems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances, such as ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement solutions to resolve them promptly
- Coordinate with external vendors for more complex repairs and maintenance tasks
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen area
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Certificate or diploma in a relevant field is a plus
Skills-
- Strong technical knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of electrical systems and plumbing related to kitchen equipment
- Attention to detail to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent maintenance requests
- Communication skills to coordinate with other team members and vendors for equipment repairs
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasks as needed
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to kitchen equipment maintenance
