Job Description

The role of a Telesales Specialist is pivotal in driving sales and revenue growth by proactively engaging with potential customers over the phone. This position involves identifying sales opportunities, closing deals, and maintaining excellent customer relationships. A telesales specialist is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the products or services they represent, alongside strong persuasive communication skills to influence customers' purchasing decisions. This role requires resilience, patience, and the ability to work under pressure, while meeting and exceeding sales targets. The successful candidate will also demonstrate effective teamwork, collaborating with marketing and sales departments to align strategies, share insights, and optimize lead generation and conversion.


Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers to generate sales leads.
  • Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products or services to them.
  • Manage and maintain a database of existing and potential customers.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets regularly.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries via phone calls and emails promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams for campaign strategies and improvements.
  • Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities to supervisors efficiently.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and customer preferences.
  • Present sales proposals and negotiate terms by understanding customer needs.
  • Continuously seek feedback to improve and refine sales strategies over time.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a telesales representative or similar sales/customer service role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective negotiations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to learn about products and services and clearly articulate their importance.
  • Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite tools.
  • Strong closing skills with a proven track record meeting sales targets.
  • High school diploma required; additional sales training or education is a plus.
