Job Description

The Supply Chain Officer plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the supply chain processes of an organization. This position requires a keen understanding of supply chain activities, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. As a Supply Chain Officer, you will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure the efficient and effective movement of goods. You will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data and performance, identifying areas for improvements, and implementing strategies to optimize supply chains and reduce costs. With your excellent communication and negotiation skills, you will maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve the company’s supply chain objectives. This role demands analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to meet both current and future business needs through effective supply chain strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate and manage the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to build strong, productive relationships.
  • Oversee logistics and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking or stockouts.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Work closely with internal departments to align supply chain processes with business goals.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain operations.
  • Prepare regular supply chain reports for senior management decision-making.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation.
  • Manage the continuous improvement of supply chain technologies and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in supply chain management roles.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data and deliver insights for strategic decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of procurement, logistics, and distribution processes in business environments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to supply chain challenges.
