About The Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic technology team at one of Abu Dhabis premier banking institutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance banking applications using modern JVM technologies
• Build and enhance microservices architecture to support critical banking operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant financial solutions
• Implement event-driven architectures using messaging platforms for real-time transaction processing
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity across relational systems
• Contribute to cloud-native application development and deployment strategies
• Monitor application performance and implement observability best practices
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and security standards
  
  

Required Technical Skills

• JVM Stack: Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin with deep understanding of the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data)
• Database Technologies: Strong experience with relational databases, SQL optimization, and ORM frameworks (JPA/Hibernate)
• Messaging Platforms: Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming and message processing
• Architecture: Solid understanding of microservices architecture patterns and best practices
• Observability: Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-native development practices
  
  

Preferred Technical Skills

• NoSQL Databases: Experience with document stores, key-value databases, or graph databases
• Container Orchestration: Kubernetes experience for container management and orchestration
• DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Helm charts for Kubernetes application deployment
• AWS Platform: Experience with Amazon Web Services and AWS-native services
• Spring Cloud: Knowledge of Spring Cloud components for distributed systems
• Industry Experience: Background in fintech or banking domain with understanding of financial workflows
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years of software development experience with focus on enterprise applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
