Sales Supervisor – General Trade/Traditional Trade

LOCATION:

Abu Dhabi

Purpose

The Sales Supervisor will be responsible for delivering sales objectives (volume, value, market share, and profitability), ensuring effective distribution (numeric and weighted), and driving flawless in-market execution by brand, category, and sub-channel. The role involves leading and developing a Van Sales team to deploy company and channel strategies, while addressing local market dynamics and business opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans for the assigned area in alignment with overall channel strategies, ensuring achievement of short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise the Route Sales team; provide coaching, training, and performance management to drive achievement of sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance, execution standards, and KPI delivery; conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Drive excellence in Van Sales operations, ensuring effective coverage, distribution, and visibility in the Traditional Trade / General Trade channel.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights; share key findings and recommendations with the Area Sales Manager.
  • Ensure execution of trade programs, visibility initiatives, and channel development plans, recommending improvements for sustainable business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:-

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma, with a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales within the UAE, specifically in Traditional Trade / General Trade channel.
  • Strong understanding of FMCG Van Sales operations in Traditional Trade/General Trade sales channel.
  • Proven skills in sales planning, team leadership, and performance management.
  • Strong selling, negotiation, and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • UAE Light Vehicle Driving License.
