Job Description

A Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in the healthcare team by providing and coordinating patient care, educating patients and the public about various health conditions, and offering emotional support to patients and their families. RNs assess patients' health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Since they are involved in almost every aspect of patient care, Registered Nurses must have excellent clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and private practices, and often specialize in areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, or emergency care. An RN often serves as the vital link between patients and physicians, ensuring that critical information is communicated effectively.
