Job Description

A Registered Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the healthcare team, providing essential care to patients and supporting physicians and other medical staff. The role requires a high degree of professionalism and compassion, as registered nurses are often involved in both the physical and emotional aspects of patient care. Registered nurses work in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, and private practices, offering critical services such as administering medications, monitoring patient health, and educating patients about their medical conditions and treatments. Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs and medical information to ensure proper ongoing care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans effectively.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding medical conditions.
  • Prepare and maintain medical instruments, ensuring they are sanitized and ready for procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assess and document patients' progress and report any significant changes to the medical team.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies at all times.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to stay updated on the latest in healthcare practices.
  • Assist in emergency situations with quick, decisive, and effective medical actions.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest professionalism.
  • Manage and organize patient admission and discharge processes efficiently and thoroughly.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse .
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse patient groups.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced and high-stress environments.
  • CPR and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
