Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses and overall health maintenance.
• Record and maintain accurate patient medical histories and reports.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate using computerized documentation.
• Set up and operate medical equipment, perform diagnostic tests and analyze results.
• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
• Assess the psychological and social needs of patients and initiate appropriate intervention programs.
• Act as a patient advocate to support their rights and foster healing environments.
• Participate in discharge planning ensuring continuity of care for patients post-discharge.
• Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license to practice.
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous clinical nursing experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with a diverse population.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Proficiency in using medical and healthcare software applications and equipment.
