The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and user-focused Product Designer to join our dynamic team at Inception in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design process from concept to final execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to build intuitive and engaging products.

Inception is the UAE’s national-scale enabler in AI Research and Development. Partnering with Microsofts AI SaaS, we offer domain-specific Agentic AI Orchestrator platforms utilizing reasoning agents for precise and cost-effective services. Our focus includes AI incubation, IP creation, applied AI R&D, and AI investment products. By creating models tailored to specific domains and languages, we ensure superior accuracy and efficiency. Collaborating with top universities and industry giants, we drive significant advancements in AI technology within the region.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process, from user research to ideation, prototyping, testing, and final implementation.
• Design engaging user interfaces and workflows that are both functional and aesthetically appealing.
• Ensure consistency in design language, style guides, and design patterns across all platforms and products.
  
  

Collaboration And Ownership

• Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product goals and vision.
• Advocate for design thinking and user-centered design practices within the company.
  
  

User Research And Insights

• Conduct and analyze user research, usability studies, and A/B testing to inform design decisions.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights that influence product strategy.
  
  

Prototyping And Testing

• Build interactive prototypes to test design ideas and gather user feedback.
• Iterate on designs based on testing and stakeholder feedback, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.
  
  

Design Systems And Standards

• Contribute to and help maintain the companys design system, ensuring scalability and efficiency in the design process.
  
  

Innovation And Trends

• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Propose new design innovations that improve the user experience and keep the product ahead of the market.
  
  

Qualifications

Skills and attributes for success

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, etc.).
• Expertise in vector design and image editing tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Strong understanding of product design principles.
• Experience in wireframing, storyboarding, and prototyping.
• Expertise in designing for web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
• Strong skills in conducting user research, usability testing, and A/B testing.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects in agile environments.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with developers, product managers, and executives.
• Leadership and mentoring experience for design teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint-based work.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (optional).
• Experience working with global or distributed teams.
  
  

To Qualify For The Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end process.
• Proven track record of successfully launching products with a focus on great design and user experience.
