Procurement Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer with a strong background in oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in project procurement, vendor management, and technical evaluation of equipment and materials. Engineering background is essential for understanding project specifications and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for oil & gas projects, including RFQs, bid evaluations, PO issuance, and delivery follow-up.
• Review and interpret engineering specifications and project requirements to ensure accurate procurement of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers and vendors, especially for gas processing equipment and systems.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure best value.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, industry codes, and company procurement procedures.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain procurement documentation and reports.
  
  

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical or similar).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement within the oil & gas industry.
• Proven experience on gas processing projects is essential.
• Strong understanding of equipment specifications, materials, and international codes/standards.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiar with ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
