Job Description

As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing the acquisition of goods, materials, and services required for the efficient operation of our organization. Your expertise in procurement strategies, cost analysis, and supplier management will contribute significantly to the optimization of supply chain operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and finance, to ensure that procurement activities align with project timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong negotiation skills, and has a thorough understanding of market dynamics and supplier capabilities. By implementing best practices in procurement processes, you will help in achieving cost savings and enhancing the overall efficiency of our organization's operations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers through comprehensive market analysis.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier information, and procurement contracts.
  • Assist in forecasting procurement needs based on project requirements and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and cost savings achievements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to anticipate changes that can impact supply chain operations.
  • Support risk management activities by analyzing supply chain vulnerabilities and proposing solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a focus on cost reduction strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for efficient supplier interaction.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as supply chain management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
