Job Overview

Wales International School (WIS) is looking to recruit an outstanding full-time Primary Teacher, August 2025 start.

Responsible to: Head of School/Head of Phase

Qualifications: Degree and PGCE or QTS or appropriate teaching qualification.

Experience: Minimum 1 years teaching or other relevant experience.

The secondary school students follow the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, based on the Oxford International Curriculum, and then take either Oxford International or Edexcel International GCSE examinations in Year 11, and A-levels in Years 12 and 13.

We are located in Al Shamkhah, a quiet and tranquil part of Abu Dhabi. The small class sizes and commitment to excellence contribute to our sense of family and enable us to give all our students the attention they require. Interested Applicants Should

• have a passion for learning, with experience of current best practice.
• understand the needs of students from multilingual backgrounds.
• have UK or equivalent teaching qualifications.
• have proven experience of teaching to at least GSCE.

• be able to incorporate ICT in their practice.
• possess humour, energy, flexibility and a positive outlook.

Employment terms are initially a two-year contract which can be extended annually.
