Job Description

A Physiotherapist plays a crucial role in helping individuals maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout their lives. This includes providing services in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by injury, disease, aging, or environmental factors. As a physiotherapist, you'll work with patients of all ages to diagnose and treat a wide range of physical challenges. This involves creating personalized therapy programs that aim to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability due to physical impairments. The physiotherapist educates and advises patients on how to manage their own health in order to prevent future injuries and improve their quality of life. Working in a dynamic and supportive environment, you will be part of a multidisciplinary health team dedicated to patient well-being.


Responsibilities

  • Assess patient physical conditions to identify potential or existing movement challenges.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans to address patient-specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises to improve patient mobility and physical function.
  • Utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy and modalities, in treatments.
  • Educate patients and their families about related physical therapy procedures and outcomes.
  • Adjust therapies according to patient progress and feedback for optimal results.
  • Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately.
  • Evaluate treatment outcomes to ensure efficacy and recommend any necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and enhance treatment strategies.
  • Promote preventative healthcare and help patients improve overall physical wellness.
  • Stay updated with the latest physiotherapy practices and implement them in your routine.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during therapy sessions.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Licensure or registration as a Physiotherapist as required by local governing bodies.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiopulmonary systems is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex physical assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with healthcare trends.
