MEP Engineer

The MEP Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within construction projects to ensure they are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards. This role involves collaboration with architects, consultants, and contractors, while managing technical aspects and solving site-related issues. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of MEP systems design, installation, and integration in commercial, residential, or industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and coordinate MEP systems in alignment with project requirements.

• Review drawings and technical documents to ensure compliance with standards.

• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for seamless coordination.

• Supervise installation and commissioning activities on-site.

• Ensure all work complies with local codes, health & safety standards, and sustainability practices.

• Resolve technical issues related to mechanical, electrical, or plumbing components.

• Prepare material submittals, technical reports, and project documentation.

• Monitor MEP progress and provide updates to project stakeholders.

• Support procurement by reviewing specifications and evaluating vendors.

• Conduct quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP coordination or engineering.

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, power distribution, and plumbing systems.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other engineering software.

• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with local building codes and international standards.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
