Job Summary

The Mechanical BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating and managing 3D models of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, using BIM software. The role requires strong attention to detail and coordination with engineers and other disciplines to ensure accurate and clash-free designs.

Key Responsibilities

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the below:

  • Develop, modify, and maintain BIM models for mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit and other BIM software.
  • Coordinate mechanical BIM models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to eliminate clashes.
  • Ensure all models adhere to project-specific BIM execution plans and company standards.
  • Develop and modify 3D models of mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit and other BIM software.
  • Ensure models align with project specifications, industry standards, and BIM execution plans.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, and MEP) to resolve clashes and ensure smooth integration.
  • Generate detailed drawings, layouts, and schedules for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Update models and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar tools.
  • Work closely with mechanical engineers and project teams to incorporate design changes and updates.
  • Provide support in BIM workflows and best practices to enhance project efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest BIM software, tools, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to process improvements for better efficiency in BIM modelling and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting Certificate/Diploma, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a BIM Modeler, focusing on mechanical systems.
  • Experience with GCC projects, preferably in healthcare, residential, commercial, hospitality, and/or institutional design sectors.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Mechanical), AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Experience in clash detection and coordination.
  • Knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred):
  • Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit (Mechanical).
  • Additional BIM-related training or certifications.
