Job Description

We are looking for a  Legal Counsel who is fluent in Arabic to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal practice, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to provide expert legal advice to support our organization's operations in the UAE. The Legal Counsel will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and representing the company's interests in legal proceedings.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a broad spectrum of legal issues, including corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and contractual matters.
  • Conduct legal research to ensure the organization's compliance with UAE laws and regulations.
  • Review and draft legal documents, contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments.
  • Negotiate, review, and draft various contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and other third parties.
  • Ensure that contracts are in line with legal requirements and provide adequate protection for the organization.
  • Monitor changes in UAE laws and regulations that could impact the organization's operations.
  • Implement and maintain effective compliance programs to mitigate legal risks.
  • Advise on regulatory matters, ensuring the organization's adherence to relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Represent the organization's interests in legal proceedings, including negotiations, arbitrations, and litigation.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary and manage the progress of legal cases.
  • Assist in corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder meetings, and company secretarial duties.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance best practices and relevant legal requirements.
  • Provide legal training and guidance to internal stakeholders to enhance their understanding of legal issues and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions and operations.
  • Work closely with external advisors, regulatory authorities, and government agencies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Qualified to practice law in the UAE.
  • Minimum [2] years of experience as a practising lawyer, preferably with a focus on corporate and commercial law.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and review.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and provide practical solutions.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
